Bad things happen to good and godly people. That is part of life in this fallen world. All of us have a inbuilt desire to feel good, be free from pain and have a comfortable life. Sooner og later we realise that life can be very difficult, and often not comfortable at all. We face pain and hardships. Sometimes we have to go through sufferings and tough struggles. Often life is not easy, but very challenging.
Even in the times of darkness and disasters the Lord will save us. He will not let us be defeated by what we face. We may seem or even feel defeated by our troubles, but God will be our bodyguard to protect us. When we cry out to God with all our hearts in our despair, he will hear us and come to rescue us from all our troubles.
The Lord has paid for our freedom. Freely he will pardon those who love him. He will declare us free and innocent when we turn to hide ourselves in him.
Listen to my testimony: I cried to God in my distress and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. When I had nothing, desperate and defeated, I cried to the Lord and he heard me. My bodyguard brought his miracle-deliverance when I needed it most. As I prayed he encircled me, empowered me, and showed me how to escape. Now I can drink deeply of the pleasures of God.
Experience for yourself the joyous mercies he gives to all who turn to hide themselves in him. There is no bodyguard like him.
