We have been traveling in Asia the last few weeks. At the moment we are in Sri Lanka enjoying a very good Internet connection. During the four weeks we have been away from home we have been able to log on to Internet most of the time, except for the four last days in India. However, our experience with the Internet connections have been kind of frustrating.
I have been connected in the sense that I have been able to surf the Web, at least for some periods almost every day. I have been reading news which I enjoy very much, but I have not been able to read my Hotmail account. I have not been able to log on to Facebook. And I have not been able to post any entries on my blog. A few times I was able to log on to Facebook to publish a few updates, but when I tried to read the messages my friends had sent to me my system got stuck.
I have been connected but disconnected. That is a big frustration for a social person like me. Most of the time I have been able to connect to the Web, but not been able to connect to or communicate with my friends. Well, that is not the full truth, as my Gmail account has been operative all the time! Thank God for Gmail! But I have not been able to reach all those I wanted to reach through that service.
I have not been able to explain what has been going on. I have never had this strange thing happen to be before. But when I arrived in Sri Lanka everything seems to back to normal again. Now I am connected again and can enjoy full connectivity on Internet.
I don't like being disconnected. We are created for fellowship and open communication - with God and with one another. Through Jesus we can stay connected all the time with no limits. What a blessing! He has opened a living way into the presence of God and he is uniting us with believers all over the world. In this sense we never need to experience being disconnected! What a blessing! Thank you Lord!
