Our holiday in Finland and our time with Jakob, a grandson, have been good preparation for the Bible Week that starts tomorrow. Vacation, work and fun with grandchildren are excellent ways of preparing for a Bible Week. In these different settings I am still in communion with God. The different settings in fact enable me to hear fresh from God in different ways.
Off cause every morning starts the same way, wherever I am and whatever I have to do. I always start each day with time with God in the Word and prayer. As I read and meditate on the Word of God, I am refreshed and strengthened to meet all the challenges the day will bring. The Word follows me during the day and enfolds new light and understanding, even to everyday events and happenings. God is always near. He is part of my everyday life. Therefore, preparing for ministry at a Bible Week is part of my daily walk with God. Ministry is just an extension of the life I live with God.
