Being Church where we live

This is a title of a book I just started to read on the plane on my way back home to Bergen. It reminded me a lot of ideas that motivated me on my quest for the real church more than 30 years ago. I must admit that we in some ways were nearer to the ideal when we pioneered Kristent Fellesskap in Farsund in the early eighties than we are today. But on the other side we are better equipped today to realise what we dreamt of then! I am still dreaming of the church as an expression of the Kingdom of God, a community of God's people in a locality demonstrating the righteousness, peace and joy of the Holy Spirit in practical down to earth living together in such a way that Jesus Christ may be seen by the people in my neighbourhood!
